Bio:
Formed in Venice in 2013, ASKESIS deliver a raw and uncompromising blend of black and death metal. From the start, the core members Laura Nardelli (bass) and Samuele Scalise (drums) built the foundation of the band’s sound—violent, captivating, and hypnotic. In 2022, the line-up was completed with the addition of Nico Fabbri (vocals), Gregorio Di Angilla (guitar), and Juri Vatova (guitar).

ASKESIS’s music channels existentialist themes and Greek mythology, reimagined in a modern context. Each composition explores the depths of the human psyche, weaving together threads of creation and destruction, introspection and chaos. Their songs confront fear, contradiction, and desire, pushing listeners toward self-examination and rebellion against the status quo.

Dark, atmospheric, and intense, ASKESIS embody the dichotomy of human nature—where beauty collides with violence, and where black metal becomes a vehicle for both condemnation and transcendence.
