Bio:
Godwatt Redemption was founded in 2006 by guitarist/vocalist Moris Fosco and bassist Mauro Passeri. Inspired by doom and stoner legends such as Black Sabbath, Cathedral, Monster Magnet, Witchcraft, and Spiritual Beggars, the band immediately worked to forge its own dark and heavy identity. With drummer Andrea Vozza, they self-produced three English-language releases that gained strong reviews and opened the doors to live shows all across Italy.

In 2013, the band shifted direction: they embraced their native Italian language and shortened their name to Godwatt. Two years later they self-released Senza Redenzione, a record that marked a new creative phase and led to a deal with Jolly Roger Records for the albums L’Ultimo Sole and Necropolis. Both were praised by critics and supported by intense live activity, cementing Godwatt’s reputation in the Italian heavy underground.

After the departure of Andrea Vozza, drummer Jacopo Granieri joined the lineup. During the pandemic years, Godwatt wrote and recorded a new album, scheduled for release in 2022, continuing their journey of massive riffs, gloomy atmospheres, and crushing live performances.
