Horrid Human Condition was formed in the summer of 2022 when Alessandro (vocals), Claudio (guitar) and Marino (bass) met Carlo (drums). Drawing from parallel experiences with other projects (laCasta, Nigredo), the first sessions came out very productive: in a few months the band wrote 14 songs, played live for the first time in March 2023 and recorded in December of the same year.
The band's name is a sign of the social and existential dread of mankind. It's the disillusion that comes forth when one realizes that the system in which all of us live thrives not for the good of the people, but for the good of the rich and powerful, in the expense of the far majority of us who are less fortunate.
It's the disillusion that comes forth when one realizes that money, religion, morals, politics and so on are just tools used by power to maintain itself.
Musically, Crust Punk and Grindcore can convey this dread very well, with their extreme and fast-paced rhythms. A sharp and high-pitched guitar, a sludgy, acid, monolithic bass and machine-gun-like drums support screamed-out and barked vocals, in a Triumph of desperate energy, where the band actively seeks out contact with the public.
