Bio:
La Menade were founded in Rome in 2000. Their music is an explosion of grace and rage, fall and rebirth—an original blend of metal, dark, electro, and progressive elements, enriched with poetically intimate lyrics.
The band released three albums to critical and fan acclaim: the EP Conflitti e Sogni (2005, Load Up Records, over 3,000 copies sold), Male di Luna (2007, self-produced), and DisumanaMente (2014, Valery Records).
With countless live performances across Italy, first place at the Roma Rock Festival’s debut contest, a RaiUno broadcast dedicated to them, contributions to two movie soundtracks, and the national final of the W:O:A Metal Battle Italy 2015, La Menade firmly established their presence on the underground scene. Their style has always been personal, recognizable, and original, matched by a powerful live impact.
After years of waiting and lineup changes, the band is reborn with their fourth album Reversum. Now composed of Tatiana (vocals, guitar), Tanya (keyboards), and Laura (drums)—with the addition of Luciana “Lux” on bass—La Menade explore darker, more experimental territory. Reversum reflects on destruction, disillusion, and the disappearance of humanity, with Italian lyrics giving way to English and a heavier, enveloping sound.
Anticipated by the single and video Oblivion (in collaboration with digital artist Igor Imhoff), Reversum will be released in early autumn via Time To Kill Records.
