Bio:
Rome-based MIND/KNOT formed in 2018, initially uniting Yari Caramore (bass), Simone Perna (drums), and Marco Burrascano (vocals). The band’s debut 7-track EP arrived in 2019, followed by the first full-length album Eat the Leaf! in 2021.

Both releases were deeply rooted in the raw energy of ’80s hardcore, drawing inspiration from Black Flag, Minor Threat, Bad Brains, and Circle Jerks. Over time, however, MIND/KNOT began to move beyond that linear sound—seeking not only to express anger and violence, but also the deeper discomfort from which those emotions emerge.

A key turning point came in 2021 with the arrival of guitarist Roberto Cadau, whose influences expanded the band’s sonic range into mathcore, chaotic hardcore, and noise punk.

On their upcoming album, MIND/KNOT embrace the legacy of hardcore while pushing into darker, more complex territory—crafting music that is at once personal, punishing, and unpredictable: heavy yet soaring, beautiful yet cruel.
