Bio:
Straight Opposition were formed in 2004 in Pescara (Italy) and went on to play more than 500 shows across Europe, sharing the stage with hardcore and punk legends such as Madball, Slapshot, Terror, Ratos de Porão, H2O, MDC, Raw Power, Total Chaos, Rise of the North Star, and many more.

From the very beginning, the band stood firmly for minority rights and resistance against capitalist, dehumanizing systems. Musically, Straight Opposition evolved from their first 3-song promo into a downtuned old school hardcore sound, unafraid to incorporate groovy, noisy, and extreme elements.

Their debut LP Step by Step (2006, Indelirium Records) marked the start of an intense journey, followed by the aggressive EP Gathered Against Mediocracy (2008) and the full-length Fury Stands Unbeaten (2010). Constant touring across 16 European countries solidified their reputation in the underground scene.

Later releases included 10 Oz (2013, Indelirium Records), Pescara Hardcore (2014, self-produced), and The Fury from the Coast (2017, Indelirium Records), each supported by extensive touring campaigns across Europe. By mid-2018, after more than a decade of furious hardcore activity, Straight Opposition closed their chapter as one of Italy’s most relentless underground bands.
