Bio:
Formed in 2021, SULPHUR AND MERCURY unite musicians from both Italy and the USA with a shared devotion to occult heavy metal and doom. The band features Jason Netherton (Misery Index, Asphalt Graves, ex-Dying Fetus) on vocals, Francesco Conte (Spiritual Front, Nero Omega, ex-Klimt 1918) on guitars, Marco Mastrobuono (Hour of Penance, Inno, Buffalo Grillz) on bass, and Dario Casabona (Griefbringer, ex-Schizo, Sinoath) on drums.

Conceived under the blood moon of the Italian summer solstice in the Cerveteri Necropolis, the band channel the apocalyptic doom of Celtic Frost and the melodic instincts of the NWOBHM, echoing the spirit of Mercyful Fate, Satan, and Sabbat (UK). Their sound fuses haunted atmospheres with heavy riffs, creating caustic hymns to the unknown and the arcane.

In 2022, SULPHUR AND MERCURY entered the studio to record their debut EP Alchemia Prophetica, featuring four original tracks and a cover of Satan’s demo-era anthem Heads Will Roll. The EP stands as a tribute to the glory of heavy metal’s past, hammered into a modern vision of occultic power and ritual.
