Bio:

Trenchwar is an unholy alliance formed by veterans of the metal and hardcore scene, featuring former and current members of seminal bands such as Backfire, Born From Pain, Cliteater, Herder, No Turning Back, Reaching Forward and Modern Life Is War. This collective channels the raw intensity of metal-influenced heavy hardcore with a darker, more introspective edge, seamlessly blending brutal aggression with haunting riffs. Their sound is both a homage to their roots and a venture into uncharted territory, promising a cathartic experience for listeners.

Their debut recording session birthed Seismic Upheaval, six crushing songs that laid the solid foundation on which Trenchwar began to build their war machine.

That foundation has now been expanded with their first full-length album, Overlords of Cold. This record marks the first time Trenchwar has written material collectively as a full band, allowing the influences of all members to fully surface. The result is a grim and punishing hybrid: the slow, suffocating weight of the New Orleans NOLA sound collides with the uncompromising intensity of ’90s hardcore bands such as Integrity, Cold as Life and Merauder. Overlords of Cold is both colder and heavier, pushing Trenchwar deeper into darkness while sharpening the band’s identity into something singular and merciless.

In support of this release, Trenchwar signed with Italian heavy label Time To Kill Records, joining a formidable roster that includes bands such as Pyrexia and Soul of Anubis, further cementing their position within the international heavy hardcore and metal underground.
