Tenebro is an Italian extreme horror death metal band, originally formed in the early 2000s by Il Becchino.
Despite their long existence, the band didn’t release any original material until 2019, when Tenebro truly began to take shape with the arrival of Hannes (a.k.a. Il Beccamorto) and a collaboration with Dismal Fate Records, which led to the recording of a previously unreleased demo.
The following year, Hannes officially joined the band, marking the beginning of a new chapter alongside Il Becchino. Over the years, Tenebro have released several EPs and two full-length albums, all devoted to the legacy of Italian horror cinema. Their music, lyrics, and intros are written entirely in Italian, serving as a full-on tribute to the golden age of Italian horror films.
Tenebro’s mission is to spread their passion for horror cinema and extreme music to as many people as possible.
Born as a studio project, the band made their live debut in 2023 at the final edition of NRW Death Fest in Germany. A Tenebro performance is not just a concert, it is a theatrical experience drenched in blood, disgust, decay, and unmatched brutality.
